In Japan, there are many free AI courses available for physicians, which are supported by public funds. Medical AI will play a significantly great role in healthcare business. As for me, it is extremely advantageous to learn medical AI with medical topics for free. One course is offered by Hokkaido University Graduate School of Medicine in Sapporo on the Hokkaido Island in Japan.

Although most of their activities are conducted online, some of them are offered on campus. Thus, it is also quite possible to make a good connection with colleagues in the medical AI field, if you live in or near the city. I chose this course because I lived in the city at the time of application. Moreover, I will be able to apply what I learn about AI directly to what I have worked on as a physician. The application process was quite simple, and I was admitted into the course immediately. The course consists of three mandatory and two selective subjects. The former are special lectures 1 and 2, and medical AI seminars. I would like to describe the content of these subjects below.
